hi pam! just to say hi and sign in! took all 7 walks and am impressed with yr understanding of roads and roadbuilding. you turn a boring ewxperience into a fascinating one.thanks! love, dad.
Good Job, great website. The entire website is consistent and gives a lot of great photos of the bridges and roads throughout the construction process the development ot a major belt in NC. Those were extremely good photos taken. They carried a good depiction of how the construction vehicles were used while on site. I really like how you added the portion, Wondering... How were they able to get graffiti on the sides? With the scaffold... The photos depicted how it may have actually was used. This is a great website and tool I would recommend this site to other colleagues interested in highway and bridge development.
Thinking some more about the comment from Confused Person, I have to say I recognize that sometimes people do not like highways because they have had bad experiences on them or people they know have had bad experiences on them.
Hopefully in the future the methods for designing and building highways will continue to improve and any problems you or people you know may have experienced will be less common. The manuals for design get updated on a regular basis as new studies come out. In addition you never know maybe someday soon we will have hover cars or something like that!
Of course with every advance in technology there are always unforseen problems. People just have to do the best they can.
Thank you for taking the time to post your comment.
I like roads because they help people get to places that they need or want to go to, and because they are also many times beautiful.
Also if you start learning about what goes into making them you will see they are actually very interesting because every piece has to be thought through.
